Legion of Mary @ Kurusady

Legion of MaryThe objective of the Legion is to glorify god through the purification of the members. The two ways to realise this objective are prayer and service.

This service is co-operating with our lady and the church, in the mission of spreading The Kingdom of Jesus Christ under the guidance and supervision of the church leaders.

The legion of Mary was started by Mr. Frankduff at 8.00 pm on September 7, 1921 (The eve of the nativity of our Lady), in the Myra Hostel at Francis Street, Dublin, Ireland. 1931 was brought to India by a lady called Maccancy Smith. It is a Lay Apostalate Organisation with the Catholics as its members.
